On Saturday, August 24th the Stowe Tennis Club held the Men's and Women's Doubles Tournament. A total of four divisions were held, Men's A and B and Women's A and B. The weather was beautiful and summery and a total of 48 members participated in the event. The one-day tournament format once again included a round-robin qualifier into the finals for the top two qualifying players. All finals were held in the afternoon. Congratulations to all participants, finalists and winners! 

Women's A winners Maggie Egger and Heidi Vietze bested Cindy Jackman and Cindy Maynard 7-6, 6-3. 

Men's A winners Rob Foregger and Tom Sequist bested Mike Gorman and Teo Calcagni 7-5, 6-0. 

In the Women's B, Kristy Carlson and Megan Liljedahl won 6-3, 6-3 against Cara Zimmerman and Robin Coggins. 

Lastly, in the Men's B, defending champions Bob Liljedahl and Porter Thorndike won 6-3, 6-4 against Adam Hergenrother and Tyler Post.

We can't wait for the Mixed Doubles action to continue this weekend!
