Clean-Up Volunteer Workday (May 16, 2026)

Join us for the annual clean-up day to get the Stowe Tennis Club ready for business! No RSVP needed. All volunteers will be rewarded with a sweet treat, a beverage, and a volunteer credit which can be redeemed for a free guest visit or ball machine use.

Tasks include hanging windscreens (bring your ladders), landscaping (bring your gloves, shovels, rakes, etc), gardening and weeding, cleaning the clubhouse, small painting projects, and bringing out and setting up the deck and pool furniture.

The rain date, if needed, will be Sunday, May 17th.

Since we operate as a not-for-profit, the club depends on your 2 hours of volunteer work (or more!) each season to offset expenses. Volunteer work has been a cornerstone of the club since its inception, not only to manage costs, but also because of the benefit it brings of growing and strengthening connections within the STC community. This year more than ever, with the cost of labor already so high, your contribution is valued tremendously. From myself as club manager to the Board of Directors, we hope (dare we say, expect) that you consider your volunteer commitment as part of your membership. For those of you who have consistently volunteered, a heartfelt thank you.

You can volunteer during our Spring Clean-Up or Fall Close-Up Workdays or through other ways (serve on a committee, pitch-in during social events, or help with tournaments, etc.) If you cannot attend the scheduled workdays, contact us with your volunteer preferences. We will do what we can to provide alternative volunteer opportunities for you. Available now? There are some tasks that cannot wait for the upcoming volunteer workday, so please get in touch.

Early Bird Round Robin & Annual Membership Meeting (June 06, 2026)

The first big event of the season is fast approaching!

Join us at 3:00pm for an Early Bird Round Robin, dust off the cobwebs, and join fellow members for this fun mixer event. We'll keep score (maybe) and have prizes awarded at the end. Please RSVP so we know who's coming to play.

Following the Round Robin, we would like to invite all members to join us for the Annual Meeting at 5pm.

Opening Party to follow: Beverages, beer & wine will be provided by the club. Please bring an appetizer (finger food) to share.

Core Tennis Program (June 22, 2026)

An 8-week program starting June 22nd for ages 8 to 14 years old held on Monday through Friday from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. Daily activities include structured tennis instruction from 1:00-3:00pm, followed by supervised open recreation and open swim with a lifeguard on duty from 3:00-4:00pm. Match play either inter- or intra-club is scheduled on all or most Fridays.

We offer two pricing options for either an 8-week (full) or a 4-week (half) program. Weeks of participation do not need to be consecutive. Participants can select which weeks of the program they plan to attend during registration. We encourage participants to attend a minimum of 3 weeks of the program.

The Advanced Tennis Program is available as an option when registering for the Core Tennis Program.

Members, log into your account and register by April 15th. Waitlisted applicant families and non-members will be considered for any available spots after April 15th.

Registration may be canceled, changed and/or refunded by request up until April 30th.

All Member Round Robin (June 27, 2026)

Join us Saturday June 27th for the All Member Round Robin. This much enjoyed annual event is coordinated by our very own head pro Mike Tasi. Open to all levels and all members, this dynamic and fun club mixer is followed by a catered lunch from The Bagel. Open to members only.

Future Stars Program (June 30, 2026)

A 6-week program for ages 4 to 7 held on Tuesdays/Wednesdays/Thursdays each week. Classes are grouped by age: 4-5 year olds at 3:15-4:00pm (divided into 2 groups of 6 participants), and 6-7 year olds at 4:00-4:45pm (divided into 2 groups of 6 participants).

Week 1: Tue June 30 - Thu July 2
Week 2: Tue July 7 - Thu July 9
Week 3: Tue July 14 - Thu July 16
Week 4: Tue July 21 - Thu July 23
Week 5: Tue July 28 - Thu July 30
Week 6: Tue Aug 4 – Thu Aug 6

We offer two pricing options, a 3-week price for attending weeks 1, 2, and 3, and a 3-week price for attending weeks 4, 5, and 6. Register for both pricing options to attend the full 6-week program. We encourage participants to attend a minimum of 3 consecutive weeks to follow the progression of instruction and skill development.

Junior & Family Round Robin (July 25, 2026)

Join us Saturday July 25th, with a rain date of Sunday July 26th, for the Junior & Family Round Robin.

We'd like to welcome all of our junior members and tennis program participants (members and non-members alike) to choose a doubles partner from their family and join us for this fun event. Creative team names encouraged! For the most enjoyment, juniors should be capable of playing match points and should be 14 and under. Their doubles partner can be any family member, member or non-member, including parents, older siblings, uncles/aunts, grandparents, godparents, etc.

RSVP by July 24th to let us know if you plan to attend. Beverages, popsicles and snacks provided.

Club Championships - Singles Tournament (August 15, 2026)

It's time to get your competitive side primed and your tennis game ready for our Annual Club Championships! First up, our Singles Tournament will be run from Saturday August 15th to Sunday August 16th (see specific details for your division).

Preliminary rounds will start on Saturday August 15th at 9am. Finals will be played Saturday August 15th in the afternoon for all divisions except Men's A Finals, which will be played Sunday August 16th afternoon.

Spectating for the finals encouraged by all participants! Light fare and beverages provided for players. Awards to follow.

Registration closes Friday August 7th at 5pm.

Tournament fee $10 payable online or in person at the Pro Shop. The fee must be paid for each event/division entered (new this season). To enter additional tournaments/divisions please visit the event link on our website to register. Contact our Pro Shop (802) 253-8250 with any questions.

It's time to get your competitive side primed and your tennis game ready for our annual Club Championships! Our Doubles Tournament will be run on Saturday, August 22nd with the finals on Sunday, August 23rd in the afternoon. Matches begin at 9am on Saturday.

If a rain date is needed for Saturday play, the tournament will push out to Sunday with a Finals date to be determined.

The format will entail a modified round robin with preliminary rounds played in the morning. The finals for the Men's and Women's B division will be played in the early afternoon. The finals for Men's and Women's A division will be played on Sunday. Spectating is encouraged by all! Awards to follow and light fare and beverages provided.

Registration closes Sunday August 16th at 5pm.

Tournament fee $10 payable online or in person at the Pro Shop. The fee must be paid for each event/division entered (new this year). Open to members only, login in to sign up with your member email.

CELEBRATE THE 2026 SEASON!

Although the club remains open well into October (until the first hard frost), join us in raising a glass to another successful season. Please bring a finger-food appetizer to share and enjoy drinks provided by the club.

End of Season party starts at 5pm.

To usher in the party, the mixed doubles club championship finals will be on court 1 starting at 4pm!

Open to all members and their families. No RSVP needed.

Fall Volunteer Workday (October 17, 2026)

Get ready to close up the club for winter!

Dress for yard work, and choose a task. Tasks include taking down nets and windscreens, moving brushes, benches and deck furniture inside, cutting back gardens, cleaning off the porch, cleaning out the kitchen, bringing in signs and clocks.

All attendees will be rewarded with a volunteer pass (redeemable for a free guest or a free ball machine use next season!)

Afterwards, treat yourself to a coffee and a sweet bite.
